We gather in person, twice per month, in Austin, TX to uplift, empower and support local, female-owned businesses.
Originally named “Austin Women Entrepreneurs,” WE began in the summer of 2016 as a way for Founder Lynan Saperstein to meet like-minded women in her new hometown of Austin.
When more than 20 women showed up at her apartment for the very first gathering, Lynan was quickly convinced that she was not the only women in the Austin area who was craving connection, collaboration and community.
Two months later, Lynan teamed up with Ellen Smoak to create The Society of WE with their shared vision to create Austin’s #1 heart-centered community for women entrepreneurs. WE gained quick traction throughout Texas, bringing with it the demand for a sister chapter in San Antonio, and plans to expand nationwide in the near future.
To date, over 700 women have attended our in-person gatherings, marketing meet-ups, and business intensive workshops. Our growing community has been praised as “the best thing that’s ever happened in Austin” by its many attendees.
What started as a way to make friends has become a movement to help women entrepreneurs make their business dreams come true. We invite you to join us. Look no further, you’ve found your tribe.
